  • 1.1 Logixila (“us”, “we”, or “our”) is a citizen-led, volunteer-based initiative which operates the website www.logixila.com (“Site”) with the objective of compiling a database of prospective blood plasma donors, recipients and specified third parties and using this information, as volunteered, to assist patients with receiving convalescent plasma therapy for the treatment of COVID-19 in the territory of the Republic of India.
  • 1.2 This page informs you of our Policy regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site.
  • 2. Collection & Use of Personal Information
  • 2.1 For using our Site, you will be asked to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact you, identify you or that you may provide for availing the services of our volunteer-based directory of information (“Database”) of prospective donors of plasma from recovered COVID-19 patients (“Donors”), prospective recipients of plasma from recovered COVID-19 patients (“Patients”), or specified third parties (as applicable).
  • 2.2 Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your name, contact details, medical records and history, and any detail(s) or information relating to the above provided/received for providing our services (“Personal Information”).
  • 2.3 We use your Personal Information as-provided for the exclusive purpose(s) of matching with Donors/Patients (as applicable) from the Database and sharing this information directly and solely with the matched Donors/Patients (as applicable).
  • 2.4 We may additionally, subject to applicable law, use some Personal Information (limited to contact information such as name, address, e-mail, or messaging details) for the following purpose(s)
  • a. To provide the services to you, as specified above;
  • b. To communicate with you through e-mail, phone, text messaging or other means, regarding Personal Information submitted by you on the Site or your use of our services;
  • c. To respond to your enquiries, resolve your problems and concerns, and for other such purposes;
  • d. To distinguish you from other users of our Site;
  • e. To measure the profile and particulars of traffic to our Site;
  • f. To offer you, if possible, location customisation and location-relevant information for prospective Donors, Patients, or specified third parties;
  • g. To comply with applicable law, as part of our general operations, and for other administrative purposes;
  • h. To manage the security of the Personal Information in our possession or to bring or defend legal claims; and
  • i. To comply with any other requirement(s) reasonably connected with the above.
  • 2.5 By agreeing to submit Personal Information to the Site, you permit the disclosure of this Personal Information to prospective Donors, Patients, or specified third parties (as applicable) for the exclusive purpose(s) stated above.
  • 2.6 Our use of your Personal Information in this manner and for the exclusive purpose(s) stated above is lawfully connected with our principal function and activity of matching potential Donors with Patients in need of convalescent plasma therapy for treatment of COVID-19. Our use of your Personal Information in the manner described is necessary for the exclusive purpose(s) stated above.
  • 2.7 However, please note that we do not independently verify information provided by Donors or Patients. We therefore make no commitment to update or correct any Personal Information that appears in our Database. We accordingly do not guarantee the accuracy of the Personal Information and make no representations or warranties as to the completeness or accuracy of the Personal Information. As per applicable law, we shall not be responsible for the authenticity or accuracy of the Personal Information we share, which Personal Information has been supplied by potential Donors or Patients (as applicable) and further, that any use by you of such Personal Information shall hold us harmless for such use.
  • 2.8 We are not responsible for any misuse of Personal Information shared with Donors/Patients for the exclusive purpose(s) stated above. If you feel your information is being misused, then contact us on the address included below.
  • 2.9 By using the Site, you agree that you are aware of:
  • a. The fact that Personal Information is being collected and used by us in accordance with this Policy;
  • b. The purpose for which Personal Information is being collected and used by us in accordance with this Policy; and
  • c. The name, address and contact details (provided at the bottom of this document) of the agency/agencies that are collecting and retaining Personal Information in accordance with this Policy.

  • 3.1 We undertake that the Personal Information collected and used in accordance with this Policy shall not be retained by us for longer than is required for the exclusive purpose(s) for which the Personal Information may lawfully be used or is otherwise required by applicable law.
